Memorial Day Honor Guard Schedule and Annual Dinner

Ellis F. Hagler American Legion Post # 278, Balsam Lake Honor Guard will honor the departed comrades of the area on Monday, May 26th, at the following cemeteries:

9:00 AM.,  Johnstown Township Cemetery

9:15 AM.,  Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery

9:30 AM.,  Town of Georgetown Lutheran Cemetery

10:00  AM., Bunyan Cemetery

11:00 AM., Balsam Lake Cemetery

            The program at Balsam Lake cemetery will feature music by the Unity High School Band. Guest Speaker will be Father Tom Thompson. 

            The annual Memorial Day Dinner will be hosted following the cemetery service for the public, by the American Legion and Auxiliary at Pine Park in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin.  A meatball, ham, scalloped potato, baked bean, and salad dinner with desert being served from noon to 2:00PM Adult meal ticket is $8.00;  Children 6-10 years $4.00, 5 and under ear free.  Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Laura McKenzie at 715-485-3639, or at the door.  Come and show your support for our troops and Veterans!

Dinner has supplemental Funds provided by the Polk-Burnett Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
