Community College Completion (C4) Summit
Fri 3/23/2012
Speaking on behalf of the Student Government Association and the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society at the County College of Morris, I cordially invite you to our 2nd annual C4 (Community College Completion Corps) Summit. The Community College Completion Corps is a national education initiative to encourage students to receive their associate degree or certificate.
We will be following in the footsteps of community college professor Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, who hosted the first White House Summit on Community Colleges in October 2010. President Obama has called for community colleges to produce an additional 5 million degrees and certificates in the next 10 years, part of his goal to restore the United States as the world’s leader in college graduates.
As the student leaders of our respective community colleges, we have the responsibility to show the rest of the student body the advantages of college completion. Please join us for this important day of discussion and fellowship with free snacks and lunch provided.
