Wyo. wildlife refuge receives stimulus money
Sun 6/30/2013
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar made the announcement
Friday.
Officials say the new buildings will replace several
rodent-infested structures and should be safer and more
energy-efficient.
Fish and Wildlife Service Mountain-Prairie Regional Director
Stephen Guertin says the project is being funded through the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The 27,230-acre refuge contains riparian, wetland and upland
shrub habitats along a 36-mile stretch of the Green River.
Pronghorns, mule deer, elk, moose, fox, bats and about 220
species of birds use the refuge.
