Steve Healy is new Director for Polk County Economic Development
The board of directors for the Polk County Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce that they have hired Steve Healy as the new Director for their organization. Steve has a wide variety of experience and knowledge, and recently retired as President and CEO of Pierce-Pepin Electric Cooperative after 25 years in that position. His economic development experience includes: helping small businesses get started, serving on economic development boards, organizing an Angel network to financially assist growth companies, served on the new Momentum West regional economic development board, and recently launching a healthcare cooperative for businesses. Steve grew up in the Clear Lake area, and owns property in the northern part of Polk County.
The board is extremely pleased to have Steve join our organization, and he will be a tremendous asset to help assist businesses in Polk County.
Polk County Economic Development Corporation was formed in 2004 to "Create and retain attractive jobs, enhance our community’s tax base, and facilitate positive sustainable economic growth". We exist through donations, memberships from the county, municipalities, and individual businesses.
