Webinar to Introduce Wisconsin Plant Recovery Initiative & Funding
This month, the WDNR’s Remediation and Redevelopment Program launched the Wisconsin Plant Recovery Initiative (WPRI), with the goal of assisting communities which have lost, or will soon lose, major manufacturing plants and other industrial facilities. The RR Program is working to identify these facilities and encourage communities and plant owners to assess, clean up and redevelop properties, before they become brownfields. Included as part of the Initiative is $1,000,000 in EPA assessment funds, which the RR Program will utilize to help asses sites of closed or closing plants.
Since many of our program partners are interested in learning more about the Plant Recovery Initiative and the WPRI Assessment Funds, the RR Program will host a webinar on Tuesday, March 23, from 1:30 to 3:00pm. It will be hosted via Microsoft Live Meeting, and users must have the free Microsoft Live Meeting client installed on their computers to hear the webinar.
To sign-up for this webinar, send an e-mail request to Eric Ballas ([email protected]) by Noon on March 23. Please put "WPRI Webinar" in the subject line.
