A Temporary New Home!

The Frederic Village Board and the Board of Frederic Arts have signed an agreement that allows Frederic Arts to occupy the former American Legion building at 310 Lake Street South for Arts programming, events and meeting space.

“This is a very supportive offer by the Village,” said Jack Route representing  Frederic Arts.  “While we hope to eventually have a different location, it will definitely help us to have a space to call home as we strive to carry out our mission.  We also would like to make note of the generosity of Post 249.  Their decision to let the property revert back to the village allowed it to become available to us.”

Frederic Arts will “lease” the building for one year in exchange for general property maintenance and upkeep, and pay for their own utility expenses.  The mission of Frederic Arts, Inc. is to:  “cultivate artistic opportunities for people of all ages and to enhance and preserve the cultural fabric of our community”.
