Building Systems Inspector (Plumbing)

   This position performs inspections work in securing compliance with building, HVAC, plumbing, electric, zoning codes and related regulations as a Building Systems Inspector with special area of emphasis in the skilled inspectional work in securing compliance with local and state codes and regulations governing existing and plumbing installations. Special emphasis involves the responsibility for administering the municipal plumbing inspection program and effecting compliance with legally established specifications and requirements. All work requires knowledge of plumbing methods and practices and is controlled largely by code provisions and standard practices within the limits of which an inspector must use considerable independent judgment and discretion. Requirements include: high school diploma or GED equivalent; degree in construction management or related filed is preferred, State of WI Certification in UDC Building, UDC HVAC, UDC Electric, UDC Plumbing and Commercial Plumbing, 10 yrs of experience in plumbing, Licensed as a Journeyman Plumber in WI; Master Plumber is preferred, and a valid WI Driver’s License. Starting salary is 2025.58 bi-weekly, plus benefits.
